Whenever we're about to head out the door, I have the kids sit by the fridge once their shoes are on, until I've finished grabbing the last minute items....diaper bag, purse, gym bag, keys, cell phone, etc. etc. etc. Grandma was ready in plenty of time too, so she had to wait by the fridge with the kiddos. Even Maggie was playing the part!
